We got to the show early because Shari was doing the Backstage Tour, very cool. Got our tickets, hung out, all got our picture with Rob from Bon Jovi's crew. Laura and I had a better experience with Rob at that moment than later on. Let's just leave it at that. There's one thing I learned this week. You definitely have to make your own way in this world and if you want something you go after it. Seats weren't what was promised upon purchase, but after much arguing we said screw it and ended up where we were suppose to be all along - right on the rail, Circleside.
The concert was amazing. I've never seen Richie so active or funny in all the shows I've been to. He was a blast for me to watch and when he sang Homebound Train, I did my best to hold still and video it. Which I did yay! However, hard lesson learned on videoing. My book said while shooting videos I could also snap still shots and it wouldn't affect the video. I think they lied or I didn't do something right. I got the still shot, but it paused the video and you heard a shutter click, grrr! Oh well, I'll know next time. It was still an incredible video that close and a memory I'll never forget.
I can say I have NEVER been that close to Richie Sambora ever before and it was a moment to sear in my brain and never forget. When they came out on the circle and stood right in front of us - WOW!
Speaking of searing memories. While singing Living On A Prayer, Jon was going around the circle thanking everyone and he came to Laura and stopped right in front of her, paused and slowly said "I want to thank you!" and pointed right at her! Oh My Jovi!!! I was hoping she didn't pass out. Did I get the picture? Of course not! I didn't want to look at Jon through a lens when he was that close, I wanted to see him with my own eyes. And man did I see him, gorgeous! I did however get this shot of Laura right afterwards...
